Questions, problems or feedback? Email hello@check.in and a person on the Check In team will get back to you.
Check In is not for emergencies. If you might be having a medical emergency, call 911. If you're thinking about hurting yourself, call or text 988.
The Check.in iPhone app
- Reminders don't arrive. Open the app, go to Reminders and check each reminder is on and set to the right day and time. If the app says notifications are off, turn them on in Settings, then Notifications, then Check.in.
- Logging a dose from the notification. Press and hold the shot-day reminder to see Took it and Remind me in an hour.
- Changing your medicine, dose or schedule. Go to Reminders, then Your medicine. Check.in shows your dose back exactly as you type it; it never works out or changes a dose.
- Apple Health. Connect it from the card on Today, or from Reminders. Check.in reads your weight, so weigh-ins from a smart scale show up, and saves the weights and symptoms you log. To change what it can see, go to Settings, then Health, then Data Access & Devices, then Check.in.
- On-phone data. Reminder logs stay on your iPhone. To erase them, go to Reminders and tap Erase everything on this phone. If you connect your texting account, chats and tracking use that cloud account instead; see the connected app below.
The connected app
- Get started. Read the sharing explanation, then answer the setup questions. Continue with Apple or Google to create a connected account, or text the code from your own app to Check In. You can also choose Set up on this phone only for reminders without connecting.
- Sign back in. Choose I already have Check In on the welcome screen, or Sign in in Account. Use the Apple or Google account you used before, sign in with your texting number, or choose Text Check In instead. Only send a sign-in code from your own app. Text APP in your Check In thread to request a fresh one-tap sign-in link.
- Food and weight. Only sections with your data appear. Meals and weigh-ins you text, and changes you make in the connected app, use the same account. Food estimates can be wrong; you can edit a meal's portion or your own numbers.
- Chat. Chat is an AI helper and can make mistakes. It does not replace your prescriber or emergency care. A failed message stays available to retry. Check-ins and reminders from Check In appear in Chat when you open the app; the app doesn't send push notifications. If you also use texting, check-ins arrive by text.
- Health and places. These are optional. Account explains what is sent before asking for permission. Turning sharing off stops new sends; signing out stops connected sharing and clears the connected cache from this phone. Revoke Apple's permissions in iPhone Settings if you no longer want the app to read those sources.
- Reminders while connected. If you already set up on-phone reminders, open On-phone reminders in Account to manage them.
- Delete your account. In Account, choose Delete, then confirm Delete everything. This erases your Check In cloud profile, chats, logs and sessions, disconnects email, and asks Google to delete your Firebase sign-in record. A few records stay, such as overall counts and web sign-ups; the Privacy Policy lists them. If you also use texting, you can text DELETE. On-phone reminder logs and Apple Health records are separate. Deleting your account doesn't remove Check.in from the Sign in with Apple list in your Apple Account settings; you can remove it there.
Check In by text
- Text HELP for help, STOP to opt out, START to opt back in, and DELETE to erase your data.
- Text FEEDBACK followed by your message, and the team will see it.
- Your page link. The link Check In texts you opens your private page for 30 days. Anyone who has it can open the page, so don't forward it. A new link doesn't cancel older ones; they run out on their own. STOP makes them stop working until you text START, and DELETE ends them for good. The app doesn't use page links.
